Ghassan Ashkar served as the Group CFO at Azadea Group, a major retailer in the Middle East and North Africa with 50+ international leading franchise concepts. Currently, he is the CFO of Retail at Al Futtaim, a multi-billion dollar retailer with operations across MENA and Southeast Asia.

His expertise spans board and shareholder relationships, M&A advisory (financial due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, deal structuring, and negotiation), corporate finance, accounting, audit & compliance, corporate governance, and shared services.

Education-wise, Ghassan Ashkar has a background in US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Accounting, an MBA from the American University of Beirut, and a BA in North American Studies from McGill University.
