Mark Hammond is a cognitive entrepreneur who has spent his career exploring the intersection of cognitive science, engineering, and business. From his early days programming in the first grade, to his time as an intern and contractor at Microsoft while still in high school, Mark has been driven by a deep passion for understanding how the mind works and turning that knowledge into applied technology. He pursued this passion at the California Institute of Technology, studying Engineering and Applied Science with a focus on Computation and Neural Systems. Since then, he has been involved with numerous startups and academic research projects, including stints as CEO of Bonsai and Co-founder and CTO of EmployInsight. Mark is currently the General Manager of Autonomous Systems at Microsoft.
Through his years of experience, Mark has developed a unique set of skills and expertise that allow him to bring together disparate fields of study and apply that knowledge to technological solutions. He has experience as a software developer, product manager, and consultant, and is comfortable working in both startups and established organizations. Mark is also an active member of the entrepreneurial community, serving as a mentor for Yale Entrepreneurial Institute and sitting on the advisory board for GXStudios. Throughout his career, he has shown a dedication to using technology to solve real-world problems and improve people's lives.
