David Elsbree Jr.

David Elsbree Jr. is a former Partner at KPMG with 25 years of experience, specializing in technical accounting and standard-setting activities.

During his tenure at KPMG, David served in the national office, writing interpretive guidance, drafting comment letters on accounting standards, and assisting with complex accounting issues.

He was actively involved in various projects such as the business combinations topic team and the AICPA's Revenue Recognition Working Group.

David was a key contributor to KPMG publications, including 'Asset Acquisitions' and 'Accounting for Bankruptcies,' and was responsible for updating 'Business Combinations.'

He also completed long-term assignments in Germany, overseeing financial audits and conducting training on US GAAP for KPMG Germany.

David's educational background includes an MBA/MS in Accounting from D'Amore-McKim School of Business and a BA in Philosophy and German from Dartmouth College. He has also served as a Practice Fellow at FASB.
