Ameet Shah is an experienced founder, operator, and investor with a strong background in product development and sales. He has worked in both early-stage startups and large enterprises, wearing many hats and gaining valuable experience. Ameet's core interest areas as an investor include commerce, consumer, communities, and marketplaces. He studied for his Hons. B.Sc. in Computer Science and Economics at the University of Toronto. After his studies, he worked as a software engineer at both IBM and Grey Interactive. He was one of the first employees at Tira Wireless, where he later became the Director of Systems Engineering and Strategic Accounts. Ameet is also a co-founder of Five Mobile, a premier product design and development firm in Toronto that was acquired by Zynga. He then became a GM at Zynga, where he managed the P&L of several live games and launched the mobile ad platform. He also kickstarted the machine learning initiatives for the company. Ameet is an active mentor, advisor, and angel investor in his community, helping the next generation of entrepreneurs achieve their goals.
