Benjamin Shoemaker, a highly experienced and passionate IT professional, has over two decades of experience in Infrastructure Engineering. He led an expert team of web app engineers at State Auto Insurance to support insurance applications and supervised a team in the build and deploy space both onshore and offshore. With over 9 years of configuration management experience, he specialized in building, moving, deploying, and managing release timelines for Windows/J2EE database deployments. He is an ardent Tech Corps volunteer who teaches underserved youth important technology fundamentals, inspiring future careers within information technology.
Benjamin has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Ohio University. Moreover, he studied at Middletown High School. Throughout his career, he has served several organizations, including State Auto Insurance, Kforce, and Nationwide. In his professional journey, he has excelled in working with various specialties, including AWS, Linux, Tomcat, Java, SVN, Guidewire, Ansible, Terraform, WebSphere, Solr, CVS, J2EE builds, .NET builds, DB deployment, merging, branching, code migration, FinalBuilder, CruiseControl, Hudson/Jenkins, Harvest, RAD, and Red Gate.
