Erica Thompson

Erica Thompson is an accomplished #SAPro and Iowa native who has made significant contributions to higher education institutions across the country. With a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Student Development in Post-Secondary Education from the University of Iowa, she has a strong and broad-based education. Erica has served in numerous leadership positions throughout her career, including positions as the Associate Director of Residence Life at the University of St. Thomas, Assistant Director of Residential Life for Staff and Community Development at South Dakota State University, and the Director of Student Activities and Leadership Programs at Iowa Wesleyan College. Erica has also been an Instructor of Leadership and Advanced Leadership Courses at Belin-Blank Center at the University of Iowa. Through her legal photography business "Erica Thompson Photography," she has also honed her skills as a photographer. Erica Thompson is an idealist (INFJ) who is passionate about learning and using that knowledge to enhance both her personal and professional growth. Her dedication to the field of education is evident in her work, and she is poised to accomplish much more in the future. As a Great Dane mom and avid runner, Erica inspires those around her with her zest for life and passion for what she does.
