Jackie Ulaszek is a highly experienced Human Factors Engineer, specializing in usability research and design principles, with over 150 medical device human factors research studies under her belt. Her primary focus is to deliver useful, usable, and engaging experiences for all user touchpoints across the healthcare industry.
Jackie's skillset includes methodological experience in ethnography/contextual inquiry, formative and summative research, patient/customer journey mapping, focus groups, and ideation workshops. She has worked in various therapeutic areas, including diabetes, oncology, respiratory, neurology, RA, Psoriasis, MS, HCV/HIV, and HGH. Additionally, she has experience working with devices used in the OR, ICU, NICU, and home care, as well as digital experience in AR, websites, applications, and connected systems.
Jackie earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Master of Science (M.S.) in Industrial Engineering from the University of Iowa. She is a Partner at Bold Insight and has worked as Director at ReSight Global, Bold Insight, and GfK. Previously, she held positions as Senior Director, Research Director, Senior UX Lead Specialist, Specialist, and Analyst, among others, at GfK User Centric. Jackie was also a Graduate Research Assistant, Human Factors Teaching Assistant, and Student Consultant at the University of Iowa College of Engineering. She has also worked as a Cryogenics Researcher at Fermilab and in Regulatory Compliance at System Sensor of Honeywell.
