Jordi Morera
Jordi Morera is a scientist, biochemist, and molecular biologist with a keen interest in gene and genetic therapy. He has accomplished his Bachelor's degree, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona followed by a Doctor of Philosophy – PhD in Gene/Genetic Therapy, Summa cum laude at the same institution. Additionally, he has completed his Master's degree, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Data Science focusing on the applications to biology and medicine with Phyton and R, Data Processing, Data Analysis, Python from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Universitat de Barcelona respectively.
Morera has been involved in multiple organizations, including being a former Project Manager of marketing and communication of Minyons del Terrassa at Colla Castellera Minyons de Terrassa, a former laboratory assistant at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and Counteracting Metabolic and Rare Diseases using gene manipulation at the Center of Animal Biotechnology and Gene Therapy. He's also served as President and Vice President of the UAB student council, an Erasmus worker in the research group of Ingemar André at Lund University.
His professional expertise includes gene and genetic therapy, data processing, analysis, and Python. He's interested in data science and its applications to biology and medicine.
