Chris Vander Mey is a seasoned product and engineering manager with extensive experience in developing software across various fields, including e-commerce, advertising, social, and mobile. With a focus on shipping and delivering results, Chris has led multiple teams to success, including building reputation systems for Amazon, developing Google+ Hangouts' multi-way video, leading various Google interoperability apps' development, including a full-fidelity native MAPI connector for Outlook. He also shipped the Google Apps Marketplace for Developers and grew Google Pack substantially, leading multiple M&A activities.

Prior to his tenure at Amazon, he served as a Product Manager at Facebook and CEO at Scaled Recognition, Inc. Chris has also worked as a Senior Product Manager at Google and Chief Technical Officer at Indigital Future Media, where he developed a powerful, rapid e-commerce website deployment platform for the automotive aftermarket.

Chris's expertise lies in real-time video, telephony, mobile, social, maps, developer-focused applications, and platforms. He has a strong background in consumer utilities, social currency, and gamification, and is an entrepreneur at heart, having started his first company while still an undergraduate.

Chris has studied Aerospace Engineering at the University of Virginia, Graduate Studies in Film and Television at Florida State University, and Engineering Management at Dartmouth.
