Julia Scott is an expert journalist and podcasting professional with 18 years of international journalism experience. Having worked with companies, non-profits and foundations, she has created unforgettable podcasts for clients such as IDEO, Kaiser Permanente and Duolingo. Her areas of expertise range from creating award-winning radio documentaries and features for BBC World Service, CBC, NPR and Marketplace to writing essays for the New York Times and various other publications.
Julia has been an editor with KQED Radio in San Francisco, which is one of the largest NPR affiliates in the country. She is also the Co-founder of SeedPod, a podcast coaching company. Additionally, Julia is a former Nonprofit Communications Consultant at Puente de la Costa Sur, an Independent Story Producer and Editor at Julia Scott Productions and a Podcast Host, Editor and Producer at ICLEI. She's also previously worked as a Podcast Editor for IDEO’s FoodxDesign Podcast, Podcasting Instructor at San Francisco Writer's Grotto and Features Editor at KALW.
Julia Scott is a Canadian-American French-English bilingual and has studied Bachelor's degree at Smith College. With an extensive portfolio of work, she's proven her skills and expertise in journalism, radio production, story writing and podcast creation.
