Shay Mehr is a highly educated and skilled individual pursuing a DVM PhD program in 2021. With a Bachelor's degree in Biopsychology, Zoology, and Professional Multimedia Writing from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Master's degree in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Southern California, Shay has gained extensive knowledge and practical experience in the field of veterinary medicine and research.
Shay has held various positions, including Veterinary Assistant III at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospitals, Research Assistant at Eli and Edythe Broad CIRM Center-Morsut Lab, Graduate Teaching Assistant at USC Viterbi School of Engineering, Proctoring Manager, and Teacher at The Princeton Review, and Veterinary Intern at Dog Adoption & Welfare Group (DAWG). Shay has also held several media and communication-related positions, such as Radio Show Host at KUCI FM and KCSB-FM, Development and Public Relations Intern at OC DIY, and Multimedia Design Intern at Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration. Shay has also contributed to The Catalyst Literary Arts Magazine as a writer.
