Tien-Thanh Nguyen is a highly-skilled engineer, researcher, and AI and Data Science enthusiast with a strong background in system integration and problem solving. Nguyen holds a Master of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Hochschule Karlsruhe - Technik und Wirtschaft, a Master of Science from Ecole nationale supérieure de Mécanique et des Microtechniques, and an Engineer's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Nguyen also studied Artificial Intelligence at Udacity.

Prior to becoming a researcher at the Royal Military Academy in Belgium, Nguyen worked as a Design & Development Engineer at Tenneco, a Project Researcher at KU Leuven, and an Intern at INSA Strasbourg.
