He has a PhD in Plasma Physics from The University of Texas at Austin and a BA in Engineering Physics from Cornell University. Adam has worked for several notable organizations, including SAIC, Telcordia Technologies, and OpenTechWorks. He has also held various positions, including Managing Director and CTO at 2M Companies, Inc., and Senior Vice President for Science and Technology at SAIC.

Throughout his career, Adam has demonstrated a unique perspective and capabilities in developing high-tech business opportunities and strategies. He has a grasp of basic and applied science and brings that knowledge to the analysis, evaluation, and development of complex products and services, which have inherently large scale and a high degree of complexity and risk.

One of his notable interests is investing in and providing guidance to early-stage startups, and he is an active participant in the evolution of secure, highly-reliable communications across the ICT industry's most complex networks, operations, and systems technologies. Adam's professional interests also include the management of innovation in industrial organizations and the development of multi-disciplinary, computer-based tools for life cycle support.
