Ezer Kang, PhD, is an expert in clinical psychology, specializing in HIV/AIDS and advocacy for persons living with the virus. Kang earned his PhD and MA in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary, where he also studied theology and religious studies as an undergraduate at New York University. He held various positions in academia and clinical settings, including as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Howard University and Clinical Director of HIV Mental Health at Harlem Hospital Center. Kang also served as a Research Scientist at the HIV Center for Clinical and Behavioral Studies in New York, and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medical Psychology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Kang's research, teaching, advocacy, and clinical work focuses on understanding and dignifying the experiences of individuals living with HIV/AIDS, particularly in communities with social and economic disadvantages.
