Maciej Machulak is a highly experienced identity and access management (IAM) and digital identity professional with a proven track record of delivering complex and innovative identity systems in the finance, retail, and insurance markets. With over two decades of experience, he has led projects with a user base ranging between 10-50 million users and has been directly responsible for budgets up to 4 million USD. His expertise includes enterprise (EIAM), customer (CIAM), and Multi-Factor Authentication solutions, with deep experience in designing and implementing CIAM/EIAM software as well as fully-managed Cloud-based services from scratch and using existing (open-source) software.

Maciej's contributions to the Identity and Access Management Industry are recognized and celebrated by MIT Innovators Under 35 awards and other prestigious events such as Privacy Expert for the Data Driven Economy Roundtable at Facebook. He is the author of the first OAuth 2.0 implementation in Java, which he contributed to the Apache Software Foundation. Besides, he is a seasoned speaker on identity, security, and privacy topics and often invited to participate as a panelist in industry events.

Maciej graduated with a Ph.D. in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and studied Master's Degrees in System Design for Internet Applications (SDIA) and Systems and Computer Networks. He also studied MSc in Computing Science during his Erasmus Exchange Studies. He served as Director - Head of IAM Architecture at Credit Suisse and Director, Principal IAM Architect (Global) at HSBC. In earlier roles, he led the design of identity federations and trust schemes and served in software engineering roles at several companies, including Google.
