Yian Shang

Yian Shang is a highly accomplished computer science professional with a broad range of experience across multiple organizations. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and also studied at the Université Michel De Montaigne in Bordeaux, France. Throughout her career, Yian has worked in a variety of positions including Data Infrastructure Engineer at Vox Media, Inc., Software Engineer at Marin Software, and Data Mining Analyst at Grameen Foundation. She has also held positions as a Software Development Intern at Salesforce and a Google Summer of Code at Mailman Ui/Database. Additionally, Yian has worked as a freelance web developer and as a tutor and course designer at UC Berkeley. Her research interests have included data mining and web development. Yian is recognized for her expertise in software development, data infrastructure, and analysis.
