Carlos Acosta is a music industry executive with a wealth of experience and expertise. Over the past three decades, he has made a name for himself in the industry by promoting the careers of various artists and innovating the landscape of the recording industry. Carlos got his start as a radio DJ while he was an undergraduate student at Stony Brook University in 1990-91. Since then, he has climbed the corporate ladder and held various positions at music industry giants, including TVT Records, Jive Records, Motown Records, Coalition Music Group at Universal Music Group, and currently as the Executive Vice President at CMG / Universal Motown.

Carlos has helped numerous artists rise to fame, including R-Kelly, Mobb Deep, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Ciara, Beanie Siegel, Petey Pablo, Yin Yang Twins, Pitbull, Lil’ Jon, Zion Y Lennox, among others. Additionally, he has been instrumental in launching various projects in the industry. Carlos founded MusicIndustryOnline.info in 2007, a social networking website designed to help young artists, musicians, filmmakers, and other art entrepreneurs connect with each other. He is also the executive producer of Street Soldiers, a political and news-oriented show on Hot 97FM, hosted by Fox 5 News reporter Lisa Evers.
