Wesley Reisz is a seasoned platform architect, technical leader, and polyglot developer with a wealth of experience in architecture, microservices, edge, cloud native solutions, and applied machine learning. He holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from the University of Louisville and an MBA in eBusiness from the same university. Wesley also studied liberal arts and computer information systems at Excelsior College, formerly known as the University of the State of New York.

Wesley's career began in the Navy, where he served as an MM3 (SS) Auxiliaryman (A-Ganger). After leaving the Navy, he worked as a technical publishing manager at Raque Food Systems and as a systems engineer in the U.S. Army. Later, he became an applications architect at HP Enterprise Services, where he rose to become the lead architect for the US Army Cadet Command. He also worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Louisville and Bellarmine University during this period.

Wesley went on to become the principal technical advisor for C4Media and the product owner for an international software conference, and he was the VP of Technology for Section. He also worked as an enterprise portal technical lead/architect at the US Army Accessions Command.

Currently, Wesley serves as a senior solutions engineer at VMware, where he creates Tanzu's platform architecture. He is also the chair of QCon San Francisco/QCon+ and co-hosts The InfoQ Podcast, both of which he created. He is always interested in tackling complex problems and determining the best solution.
