Startup42 is a non-profit accelerator designed by EPITA (one of France's top computer-science engineering school) to offer hacker teams with a good idea the skills and opportunities they need to become startup founders.

Twice a year, 7 new startups are accelerated by SU42 during a 4-month program. These startups are selected for their skills, their cohesion, their mindset, their vision of the market, their fit with the market and, eventually, their startup idea. To be able to apply for Startup42, there needs to be at least one founder in charge of coding the first version of the product.

Since launch: 43 startups accelerated, 80% still active, €6.5M+ funds raised, 200+ jobs created and 2 YC alumni

Product manager of Web hosting products at Orange Business Services

A really interesting internship. I was fully in charge of the marketing of four services, operational and product marketing.
I had to deal with a lot of crisis, to go keep alive existing projects, to organise the teams, to fight with the IS and to shape the future of services that were clearly outpaced by the competition.

The bonus was the really good responsiveness from the BU manager when I suggested to open topics like hackathons or growth hacking. Unfortunately the internship was too short and I chose not to have a mission on these last topics in parallel of my studies. The point was to be able to focus on my start up project, which I then quit.

In any cases, since that internship, I'm not keen on working in such big and old fashioned companies.

Web development (more Front end) of the main tool of the Account Managers of the startup.
This internship made me develop responsibilities toward web-develeopment projects.
I had to work in parallel with an other junior on the front end. The senior (CTO) was leading the critical Back end part.
I had to adapt the pre existing code to develop new tools which I could then test right away with the users (the account managers). The feedback loop was relatively short and the responsibilities great. It's not easy to develop tools that are "breaking" the working habits.

The company was dynamic. It's still in a steep growth phase.
