Happy Haynes is a community leader, with years of experience serving the people of Denver, Colorado. Haynes has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Barnard College and is a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Colorado at Denver Graduate School of Public Affairs. Haynes's public service began as a City Council Member for Denver City Council District 11. Later, she served as the Director of Civic & Community Engagement at CRL Associates and the President of the Denver Board of Education. Haynes has also made significant contributions to various boards, such as the Colorado Advisory Board of the Trust for Public Land and the Foundation for Education Excellence. Currently, Haynes is the Executive Director of Denver Parks and Recreation, where she supervises the growth and development of parks, playgrounds, and community centers that the public uses daily.
