Galina Shmeleva is an accomplished marketing communications professional and a Fulbright scholar with a background in tech PR. Galina is an expert in creating compelling narratives and turning strategies into actionable plans. Galina has worked with a variety of clients ranging from early stage startups to Fortune 500 brands in technology sectors as diverse as consumer electronics, edtech, kidstech, healthtech, cyber security, cloud, venture capital, finance and IT.

Galina’s experience in customer and market research, go-to-market strategy, managing cross-functional teams, digital marketing has enabled her to identify opportunities for business growth, and bring her passion for analytical thinking and strategic decision-making to her work. She has demonstrable expertise in influencer marketing, social media marketing, SEO/SEM, partnerships, PR strategy, and extensive knowledge of the media landscape of Russia.

Galina earned her BA in Sociology and English from Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, an MA in Communication from San Diego State University, and another MA in Journalism from Moscow State University. Her experience includes working as a Marketing and PR consultant for an array of clients as well as working as a Senior Account Executive at IgniteX, a Freelance Correspondent at The-Village.ru, a Social Media Manager at GlobeIn, and eventually as a Marketing and PR Adviser at Tanoshi.
