Catalina Acero is a bilingual Industrial Engineer with a specialization in Finances from Universidad de Los Andes. She has worked for multinational companies such as Bekaert, SABMiller-Bavaria, IBM, and Old Mutual. She is experienced in setting up new units within operations, process improvement and control, cost-saving through tenders, project management, sales, and customer relations.

Her career began at Skandia as a Customer Service Consultant and Financial Control Analyst. She then worked at IBM in different roles, including Sales Support Team Leader and Real Estate and Site Operations. Her experience includes business controls and process improvement, as well as directing consultancy purchasing projects.

At Bekaert, she was the General Purchasing Manager of six countries and eight plants, while at SABMiller-Bavaria, she performed regional purchasing duties in five countries. In her latest venture, Berlitz Colombia, she is the Country Manager.
