Design/Build firm - Three guys going through architecture school formed design/build firm to work with select clients, respond to program needs and push the envelope as to resolving the concerns/needs of our clients - and then getting to build it and seeing how to put it all together (some of our best drawings are on the backside of the sheetrock...).

The other principals were Tim Mulavey a Bill Mcbarron - top notch guys; brilliant and if you have the chance to work with either of them - you are into an amazing time! We had a lot of fun, it was intense, debates on architectural theory and history over lunch often ate up our "profits" but looking back I wouldn't change a thing!

Principal

First assistant to Steve Rosenthal photographing exteriors, interiors and architectural models for architects, developers, institutions and publications. Processed and printed black & white film/prints. Reorganized studio and made recommendations for upgrading photographic equipment. Designed all new modular carrying cases for all equipment we took on location and contracted out to a custom case builder. Designed and built new film processing room and black and white darkroom facilities. Also design new fire prove archival storage facilities for film and prints.

Steve Rosenthal - Architectural Photographer

First Assistant

Design/Build firm specializing in designing and building creative spaces for photographers and artists. Designed workspaces that were ergonomic (fitted to the individual using the space), so that the final product would inspire the artist and not fight them in the work they did. The idea was to create a studio/workspace the individual wanted to be in and supported their well being.

Also designed staging and sets for commercial photographers shooting specific products.

Installed high end photographic strobe/lighting overhead rail systems, cyc. walls and production darkroom systems.

Designed and manufactured high end reprographic easel/camera stand for company producing reproduction camera system.

Designed and manufactured custom built in cabinets / casework.

Designed and constructed 2 multi-studio photographic rental studios for major professional retail outlet in the Boston area. including kitchen/food studios, studios to photographing large items such as motorcycles and cars (and really big basketball players...), and studios for fashion and small products.

EP Levine is the largest New England based professional photography store for new and used equipment. I was hired to revamp the rental department and create a profitable business model for increasing the rental sales. Also contributed to the sales team selling small, medium and large format cameras and lenses, lighting and strobe equipment, darkroom equipment, etc.
