Robert McGinley, a Philadelphia native, is a highly experienced technologist and a visionary leader in software engineering. He currently serves as the Senior Director of Consumer Data at Nike. Previously, he was the Chief Technology Officer at Zodiac, a predictive analytics company, which was acquired by Nike. At Zodiac, he led the creation of a platform that forecasted individual customer behavior and lifetime value for brands, which enabled clients to improve strategic decision-making.

With a long career in high growth startups, Rob has vast expertise in managing software teams through all stages of complexity, both in people and in traffic. He understands the challenges and hardships of building complex software over the long term and has an insightful understanding of managing change and expectations. He believes that a good IT project should only be deemed successful when business objectives are achieved, not when features are created.

Throughout his career, he has built analytics-minded teams in several companies and ensured that data is treated as a first-class citizen of software system design. Rob has also applied Graph and Combinatorial algorithms to optimize supply chain management software.

Rob is an avid jazz fan and enjoys exploring the realms of IoT/home automation and combinatorial optimization in his spare time. He graduated with a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Information Technology Leadership from La Salle University. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at his alma mater and serves on the Computer Science Advisory Board to ensure the curriculum designed is applicable to the real world.
