Jake Heller is an accomplished journalist with a passion for reporting on abuses of power in underrepresented communities and local news deserts across America. He studied History, Political Science, and Economics at McGill University, where he also participated in study abroad programs at Sciences Po and Universite Paris-Sorbonne. He later earned a Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Heller is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of ENEMY Magazine, a publication that focuses on in-depth reporting of social justice issues. He is also a member of the Communications Committee for the Poor People's Campaign in New York State. Previously, he served as an Enterprise Reporter and Documentary Producer at NBC News, where he covered political campaigns and social justice issues. While at NBC, Heller launched and hosted the network’s first original podcast, "The Trail Tapes," which focused on the 2016 presidential election.

Prior to his work at NBC, Heller was the Executive Producer of video at The Daily Beast. He also worked as an Editorial Assistant at The Independent, a Program Intern at the Clinton Global Initiative, and a News Producer and Associate Arts Producer at TVMcGill, where he honed his journalistic skills. He is a China-U.S. Fellow at the East West Center and has volunteered as a Droits des Etrangers Advocate at Mouvement Contre le Racisme et Pour l'Amitie Entre les Peuples (MRAP).
