Maria Poveromo

Maria Poveromo is a highly accomplished public relations executive with over two decades of experience working for some of the biggest tech companies in the world. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wesleyan University and started her career as a Development Associate at Equal Rights Advocates. Her passion for communication led her to work in marketing and public relations, where she excelled.

Maria started her career at Apacabar and Mg2 Technologies, where she worked as a Manager of Marketing and PR Communications. Her career took off when she joined Adobe, where she held various leadership positions, including Senior Director of Accounts Receivable, Public Relations, and Social Media, Director of Social Media, and finally as Vice President and Chief Communications Officer.

In 2017, Maria joined Cisco, where she is currently the Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer. She is responsible for all global communications at Cisco and leads a team of over 200 people in various countries. Before taking on this role, she was Vice President of International Communications at Cisco and Vice President of West Communications at IBM.

Maria has also been involved in various nonprofit organizations, including the French American Center, where she served as a Director. She is a dedicated and driven individual who has been recognized for her contributions to the industry.
