Jordan Wellington is a prominent figure in cannabis policy and regulations. With a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, Wellington has made significant contributions to the cannabis industry. He is currently a Partner at VS Strategies, where he specializes in public affairs and cannabis policy, and he serves as of counsel at Vicente Sederberg LLP. Wellington has played a pivotal role in drafting and implementing cannabis legislation in Colorado and other states. His experience also includes being the Compliance Director at Vicente Sederberg where he helped to launch the firm's regulatory compliance practice, and co-founding a cannabis regulatory compliance software company, Simplifya. Additionally, he was a senior regulatory analyst at the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division in the state Department of Revenue. Wellington has authored white papers on sensible cannabis policies and packaging, labeling, and testing policies. He frequently appears in the media discussing cannabis policy and business matters, and he is a co-host of The Weed Wonks, a podcast focused on cannabis policy. Wellington is an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he teaches a class titled, “Regulating Cannabis."
