Matt Blunt is a highly experienced and effective executive with a diverse background in both military and state government service. With twenty years of public service, including ten years in the United States Navy followed by ten years in state government, Governor Blunt has a wealth of knowledge in executive management, fiscal management, government, and military. Governor Blunt is known for his accomplishments in managing difficult budgets and has earned respect across Missouri and the country. His distinguished service includes being Secretary of State (2001-2005) and Governor of Missouri. He has also served as a member of the Missouri General Assembly (1999-2001) and as Assistant Operations and Security Officer at United States Naval Reserve. Governor Blunt has also held positions on the board of directors for companies such as Genesis Systems (USA) LLC and USAA Life Insurance Company of New York. Currently, he is serving as President of the American Automotive Policy Council.
