Chuck Gitomer is an accomplished individual with an extensive educational background and a diverse set of experiences in economics, agriculture, and Chinese studies. Chuck studied at Cornell University, where he earned both a BS in Agriculture and a graduate degree in Asian Studies. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota, where he studied applied economics and earned a Ph.D. (abd) in the same field. Additionally, he studied Chinese language at Stanford University's highly respected Inter-University Program for Advanced Chinese Language Study.

Chuck Gitomer has worked in a variety of organizations, including as a visiting assistant professor of economics at Lewis & Clark College, a researcher at the Macroeconomic Research Department of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and a consultant at the International Water Management Institute. He has also been a visiting scholar at the University of California, San Diego and conducted research as an assistant at the International Food Policy Research Institute.

More recently, Chuck has been a board member of the US Fencing Association Oregon Division while also serving as the web manager and social media manager for Oregon Fencing Alliance. He has also volunteered as the web maintainer and social media manager for the Oregon Division of USA fencing.
