Max Sokol, AICP is a highly accomplished and experienced urban planner with a strong background in transportation and regional planning. Sokol studied both Anthropology and Economics at Brown University and completed a Master of Science in Urban Planning at Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. He has held several impressive positions in his professional career, including Supervising Planner at WSP USA, Immediate Past President of the American Planning Association (APA) NY Metro Chapter, Vice Chair of the APA's Chapter Presidents Council, as well as roles at regional planning organizations and planning consulting firms.
Sokol's experience encompasses a broad range of planning areas, including transportation and regional planning, land use planning, and environmental planning. He has worked on diverse projects related to transportation infrastructure, including research, analysis, and planning services for clients such as Nassau County Planning Department and Redniss & Mead, Inc. Sokol is also highly interested in promoting sustainable development and livable communities.
