Christos Mastoras

Christos Mastoras is a seasoned entrepreneur, angel investor, and venture capitalist with over 23 years of experience in the tech industry. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Iliad Partners, a Dubai-based Venture Capital firm specializing in early-stage technology startups in the MENA region. With four startups and four exits under his belt, including GlamBox, Upstream, govWorks, and SloanGear, Mastoras is well-versed in the challenges and opportunities that come with building and scaling successful companies.

Mastoras has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in International Relations from Georgetown University. He is actively investing in the digital enablement of the MENA region across a range of key verticals, including logistics, transport, mobility, fintech, proptech, edtech, and others. He primarily invests at the Series A and Series B stage, focusing on B2B opportunities.

In addition to his work at Iliad Partners, Mastoras also serves on several startup boards, including Trukker and OSeven, and is a member of the Board of the Middle East Venture Capital Association (MEVCA). He was a founding member of the Board of Advisors of MAGNiTT, a mentor with Endeavor, MITEF, and Techstars, and is an active participant in the startup ecosystem in the MENA region.
