Anu George is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in driving operational excellence and digital transformation for businesses across different industries. Graduating from the University of Houston, she embarked on a career in sales and brand management with Unilever India before enjoying a long stint with GE Capital Canada and Europe, where she served as the VP of Wholesale Finance Operations. Anu has a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Mumbai University, and she also trained at Singularity University and GE Crotonville. She is currently the COO - Technology & Transformation at Morningstar, where she leads the development of strategies integrating operational excellence and digitalization to achieve business objectives. Anu is a key speaker in conferences covering the Future of Work, and she was recognized as Crain’s Notable Women Executives in Chicago in 2020. Through her leadership, the application of technologies like AI, RPA, and LEAN, Anu instilled a culture of operational excellence in Morningstar, transforming the company into an easy-to-do-business with, more customer-centric, and agile business. She is keen on driving diversity and inclusivity in the workplace, and as such, she served as an executive sponsor of the Women's & Asia resource groups at Morningstar & GE. Besides her role, Anu serves as a mentor at 1871, a startup incubator, and is a board member of the Chicago Literacy Association and an Advisory Board Member of the Illinois Technology Association (Women Influence Chicago and AI Council).
