Archie D. Nettles Jr. is a highly accomplished leader, veteran, and academic who has dedicated his life to serving his country and community. With extensive experience in the military and public service, he is an excellent member of society who has proven his leadership skills and commitment to excellence. Nettles joined the United States Army at the age of 18, served on Active Duty and Reserve and obtained the rank of Sergeant. Amongst his many achievements, he served in Operation Enduring Freedom Military Campaign in Afghanistan.

He studied at The University of Texas at Dallas where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs, Public Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Local Government Management and a Masters of Public Affairs, Local Government Management. Nettles has held several positions throughout his career, including Assistant Director of Development at The University of Texas at Dallas, Scholar at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, and Texas Instruments Founders Leadership Fellow at The University of Texas at Dallas.
