Maya Malo is a highly educated professional with a strong background in environmental sciences and development cooperation.
She obtained a Master of Advanced Studies in Development and Cooperation (NADEL) as well as a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences from Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich.
Maya Malo has a wealth of experience in various organizations. She currently serves as an Advisor for Climate Change at HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation.
Prior to her current role, she held the position of Project Manager for Resource Management and Climate Change at EBP.
Her previous roles include Project Officer for E-waste Recycling in Latin America and the Caribbean at Empa, Research Assistant for International Disaster and Risk Conference at Global Risk Forum Davos, Research Assistant for Scarce Raw Materials at ETH Zurich's Institute for Environmental Decisions, and an Internship in Monitoring & Evaluation at Central Ecuatoriana de Servicios Agricolas.
