Melis Kahya Akar is a well-rounded business professional with experience spanning across multiple organizations and industries. She obtained a Bachelor Of Science in Electrical Engineering, Economics from Yale University and then went on to complete her Masters in Business Administration at Stanford University Graduate School Of Business. She furthered her education at Robert College. Akar's career began as an Analyst at J.P. Morgan and eventually worked her way up to become a Vice President at Tsg Consumer Partners, where she stayed for some time, honing her skills. From there, she progressed to become Vice President at General Atlantic, where she was responsible for overseeing retail and consumer activities. In recognition of her dedication and hard work, Akar was promoted to Head Of Retail and Consumer Emea at General Atlantic. Akar has also been very active in the startup scene, serving as a Board Member at companies like Depop and Sezane.
