Jason Fennell is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in heading large, complex technical teams. Fennell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the prestigious Harvey Mudd College. Throughout his career, he has held numerous executive roles at Yelp, including SVP / Head of Engineering, Vice President of Engineering, Director of Engineering, and Manager of Data Mining. Fennell has a unique blend of skills in engineering, finance, and research, thanks to his varied professional background. He started as a Trading Researcher at Citadel Investment Group, moved on to work as a Cryptography Researcher at Microsoft Research India, and then transitioned to an ML / Digital Sketch Recognition Researcher back at Harvey Mudd College. Currently, Fennell is working with the Meta team as a Data Privacy specialist.
