Jeff Smith, Ph.D.

Dr. Jeff Smith is a seasoned professional in emerging technologies with a strong background in science and leadership roles.

With experience at renowned organizations like Motorola, The Robotics Institute, and SuperCollider, Jeff has developed wireless sensor and control systems for various government agencies and organizations.

In 1993, Jeff co-founded OnRamp Technologies, a prominent Internet Service Provider, which later became a significant investment of Verio where he served as Regional President and Board member.

Jeff is recognized as a pioneer in the M2M communications market, having founded SensorLogic in 2002 and subsequently co-founding Ublip in 2007, both of which specialized in telemetry services.

Jeff's impressive education includes a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he is a Distinguished Alumni and member of the President's Development Board.
