Mark Young is an experienced Director in the Renewable Power Group at BlackRock Alternative Investors. Young is responsible for project construction and operations for the Americas and Asia regions. With over 20 years of wind energy engineering experience, Young has actively participated in major global markets. Prior to joining BlackRock, he served as Director and Service Area Leader for Renewables Advisory at DNV GL as well as Head of Department and Section at DNV. Young holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He is an internationally recognized expert on wind turbine testing and has extensive experience in onshore and offshore wind resource measurement, power performance of wind turbines, technical due diligence, failure analysis, and component design.
