Mike Butcher MBE is a renowned journalist, presenter, interviewer, and conference chair. He is also the Editor-at-large of TechCrunch, a leading online publisher of technology industry news. With over two decades of experience in the field, he has become one of the most influential figures in European technology. Butcher has written for several national newspapers and magazines and has been named one of the 100 Most Connected Men in the UK by British GQ magazine. He has also spoken at prestigious events such as the Monaco Media Forum, Le Web, Web Summit, DLD, and the World Economic Forum.
Butcher has advised the UK Prime Minister and the Mayor of London on tech startup policy, co-founded TechHub.com, which creates spaces globally for tech entrepreneurs, and Coadec.com, a lobbying group for UK startups. Furthermore, he is the founder of The Europas, the annual European Tech Startup Conference & Awards, and co-founder of Techfugees.com and TechVets, non-profits aimed at helping refugees and military veterans enter the tech industry, respectively.
