Evan Korth is a well-established figure in NYC's academic and innovation communities as a professor, developer, investor, advisor, founder, board member, mentor, and expert witness. He has been actively involved in the technology industry since 1999, and has been instrumental in shaping its development over the years. Evan's areas of expertise include computer science, technology entrepreneurship, innovation, and investment.
Evan has contributed to various organizations and initiatives, including CSNYC, Girls Who Code, HackNY, NY Tech Meetup, Academies for Software Engineering, and Paintzen. He has formerly held positions as the founder / executive director of CSNYC, the clinical professor of computer science & faculty liaison for technology entrepreneurship at NYU, and the chief scientist at NowPublic.com.
Evan's accomplishments include co-founding HackNY, which launched the intercollegiate hackathon movement, and played an active role in helping the Bloomberg administration create NYC's first two software engineering high schools. Today, he invests in and guides the companies that are developing the best curricula and serves on the boards of various nonprofit organizations that focus on advancing computer science education for all.
