-  Designed and developed complex pipeline/workflow automation platform in PHP/MySQL/RabbitMQ that managed both human-touch and automated processes necessary for preparing millions of historical documents for publication online on a monthly basis.
-  Designed and developed automated triple OCR platform that OCRs documents with three different OCR engines and automatically arbitrates the results for best accuracy.
-  Designed and developed novel Graph database for matching historical records and documents.

-  Designed proprietary OCR platform that extracted high-quality text from historical documents for online publishing.
-  Designed, built and maintained two private datacenters to house over 1,600 Dell PowerEdge servers necessary for servicing a commercial family history search engine containing billions of records comprising over a petabyte of information.

- Managed and was directly responsible for all technical operations of a regional, mid-sized Internet Service Provider serving nearly 4000 business and residential customers.
-  Responsibilities included maintaining the round-the-clock operation and security of a large, diverse IP network and its various components including: routers, switches, servers, bridges, fiber optics, dedicated circuits and several large point-to-multipoint wireless networks, as well as all related infrastructure including multiple types and levels of redundancy such as load balancing, RAID arrays, tape jukeboxes, uninterruptible power supplies and emergency backup generation.
-  Position necessitated in-depth understanding of a broad base of IT related technologies: physical hardware, topologies and technologies, multiple server platforms, adept understanding and mitigation of security and reliability issues, and the use and support of multiple Web-related technologies and languages.
