Dmitri Rabin is a highly experienced portfolio manager and strategist in the fixed income, structured finance, and private debt sectors. He has a versatile background that includes strategy consulting, hedge funds, and venture capital/private equity investments. Rabin graduated with honors from Amherst College, studied economics and computer science, and obtained his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management. Throughout his career, Rabin specialized in structured finance, residential mortgage-backed securities, covered bonds, as well as student loans, equipment leasing, and automotive finance, both in public and private transactions. He worked as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Jennison Associates LLC and as Portfolio Manager and Co-Head of Mortgage and Structured Finance at Loomis, Sayles & Company. Rabin also worked as an analyst at Pine Cobble Capital, an associate analyst at Cambridge Place Investment Management, a project leader at Boston Consulting Group, and a summer associate at DFJ New England. In addition to his strong analytical skills, due diligence, and macro forecasting abilities, Rabin is an acclaimed strategist with an excellent track record in portfolio construction, credit and relative value analysis, new product development, and fundraising. He is also skilled in software engineering and multimedia access projects.
