Leanne Gale is a highly accomplished lawyer with a strong focus on public interest work. With extensive experience in the field of immigration law, she is a dedicated advocate for the rights of immigrants and refugees. As a Yale Law Public Interest Fellow at Capital Area Immigrant Rights Coalition, she represents detained immigrants in removal proceedings and fights for universal representation for all those who face deportation.
Before joining the CAIR Coalition, Leanne had an impressive academic career. She holds a Doctor of Law from Yale Law School, where she served as Student Director of the Allard K. Lowenstein Human Rights Clinic and represented clients in the Yale Law Immigrant Rights Clinic. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, Jewish Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, where she had an outstanding academic record with a 3.91 GPA.
Leanne's background also includes experiences outside of her academic endeavors. She was a Grassroots Associate at the National Council of Jewish Women, a New Israel Fund-Shatil Social Justice Fellow at Ir Amim ("City of Nations"), and co-founded and co-directed the Yale Law Human Rights Trip to Palestine and Israel.
