Rick Reed, PhD, is a media psychology expert with a background in issue and crisis management at Intel Corporation.
Having pursued higher education extensively, Rick holds a Ph.D. in Psychology with a focus on Media Psychology, an MA in Psychology, an MS in Technology Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Human Services.
Rick began his career in San Francisco's media industry before transitioning into roles within public safety agencies, where he served as a crisis communicator and emergency manager.
Since 1998, Rick has played a pivotal role at Intel, leading teams to handle people, product, and corporate reputation crises, especially focusing on managing online issues effectively.
His expertise also extends to academia, where he has served as a lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), faculty at the University of Maryland and San Jose State University, and as the Director of the Office of Emergency Services at the County of Santa Clara.
Currently, Rick holds the position of Online Media Governance Program Director at Intel Corporation.
