Melissa Kan is an accomplished filmmaker who has studied at some of the most prestigious universities in the country. She completed her Masters of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Production/Directing at the University of California, Los Angeles, after earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Computer Science from Columbia University in the City of New York. Melissa has also studied at Northwestern University, where she honed her skills as a filmmaker.

Melissa has worked for a variety of organizations throughout her career. She was an Assistant Editor at Good N' Proper, a Post Production Coordinator for The Lady and the Dale at HBO, and an Art Director and Producer for Film TBA directed by Merlin Camozzi. Additionally, she interned at Blizzard Entertainment as a Production Intern for Cinematics and was a VFX Coordinator for the feature film, Saving Lincoln, directed by Salvador Litvak. Melissa has also worked as an Independent Contractor for Lane Street Pictures and as a Media Management Intern for PLAN C, as well as freelancing as a Video Producer.

Throughout her career, Melissa has built up an impressive set of skills that allow her to be a versatile and effective filmmaker. Her experiences in post-production, art direction, and VFX coordinating make her well-suited to work on a variety of projects. Melissa is passionate about filmmaking and continues to be an active member of the film community.
