David Altrogge, a Pennsylvania native, is a talented filmmaker known for his thought-provoking and inspiring work. He directed his first feature film while in high school and hasn't looked back since. Altrogge has directed commercials for some of the world's most influential brands, including Netflix and Google. His films have been featured by CNN, the BBC, Mashable, Devour, and the LA Times. In 2016, he released a groundbreaking documentary series called "The New Space Race" in conjunction with NatGeo. This series focused on the scientists and engineers who are trying to open up the frontier of space. Altrogge's most recent film, "Neat: The Story of Bourbon," explores the rich and storied world of America's only native spirit: bourbon whiskey. It features the comedic talents of Steve Zahn and was acquired and released by The Orchard in 2018. He is the co-founder of Vinegar Hill, an Emmy-nominated storytelling company based in Pittsburgh. When he's not writing and directing films, Altrogge enjoys cooking for his wife and sharing classic episodes of "The Andy Griffith Show" with his six-year-old daughter.
