William Hockey is a prominent entrepreneur and tech innovator, best known as the co-founder of Plaid, a groundbreaking fintech platform revolutionizing the financial sector. Born and raised in the Eastern Sierras, William attended The Thacher School before pursuing a degree in computer science from Emory University. After graduating, he worked as an Associate at Bain & Company and as an Engineering analyst at OpenStudy, honing his skills and building his knowledge of business practices and technology. In 2012, William and his partner Zachary Perret founded Plaid with the vision of simplifying and streamlining the processes of connecting financial data between banks and apps. Today, Plaid is a successful technology company that has raised millions in funding and is used by some of the most innovative and well-known financial institutions in the world.
