Matt's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Television Production & Directing from Columbia College Chicago and a Master of Arts in Biblical & Theological Studies from Knox Theological Seminary. He also holds positions in various organizations, including Director of Communications and Donor Relations at Knox Theological Seminary and former Adjunct Professor at Trinity International University, Moody Bible Institute, and Columbia College Chicago. He has also worked as a television production specialist and producer at Weigel Broadcasting Co. and Tribune Broadcasting, respectively.
