Christopher Bastardi

Chris Bastardi is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in public affairs, communications, and government relations.

His career includes roles such as Director of Public Affairs and Communications in the State Senate, involvement in political campaigns at various levels, and participation in public policy actions like referendums and legislative debates.

Chris has a rich background in managing development projects, influencing public opinion, and engaging with stakeholders, regulators, and elected officials.

He currently leads media and stakeholder relations at LaGuardia Gateway Partners, overseeing the $4 billion redevelopment and operations of LaGuardia Airport's Central Terminal.

Moreover, his expertise extends to handling government regulations, labor relations, development projects, and legislation.

Chris also has crisis management experience from his time at Edelman and other consulting firms, where he dealt with a range of issues from litigation to labor disputes.

He has been involved in representing various organizations and causes, such as the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers, the Shinnecock Indians, and corporations like SBC and AT&T during their merger.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Chris is actively engaged in nonprofit work, serving on the boards of Dance/NYC and OutCasting.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University and a Master's Degree in Political Campaign Management from New York University, complemented by studies in public policy fellowship at Coro - Leadership New York and other educational institutions.
