Katja Freitag has devoted over two decades to the mining industry, honing her expertise through a variety of roles across the globe. After obtaining her PhD in Geology from Colorado School of Mines, she gained hands-on experience working in mining operations in North America and Africa. Her career continued to flourish as she became an accomplished consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she specialized in metals and mining. She would then serve as the managing director of Mining Intelligence at InfoMine, where she was in charge of overseeing the successful delivery of educational and training programs. Katja also has experience managing business units, conducting in-depth analyses, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to implement effective solutions. Her wide-ranging skill set has made her a dynamic mining expert capable of taking on any number of issues while maintaining a strategic focus.
